Big Update On March 14, 2026, Patanjali Foods Limited entered into agreements to acquire land rights and manufacturing assets from its promoter group company, Patanjali Ayurved Limited (PAL), for a total of ₹750 crore.

The primary purpose of this acquisition is to boost manufacturing capacity and efficiency for its food sector, specifically focusing on its biscuit and snacks production.

*Breakdown of the Acquisition

The transaction is divided into two main components:

Land and Buildings (₹673.90 crore): This includes the leasehold rights for approximately 4,00,016 square meters of land located at Plot No. 01A, Sector 24, in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area (YEIDA), Uttar Pradesh. It also covers nearly 69,900 square meters of partially constructed buildings.Plant and Machinery (₹76.10 crore): This covers the biscuit manufacturing equipment already installed at the site.

*Strategic Goals

Capacity Expansion: The deal allows Patanjali Foods to rapidly scale its production of biscuits to meet growing demand.

Operational Integration: By acquiring these assets from the promoter group, the company aims to streamline its supply chain and strengthen its production base for new product launches.

Regulatory Status: The transfer of land rights is currently subject to final approval from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).This move follows a broader corporate strategy by Patanjali Foods to transition into a dominant FMCG player, which also included the earlier ₹1,100 crore acquisition of PAL's home and personal care business in 2024.
